  in genesis god allows satan after deceiving the first human pair to go relatively unpunished for thousands of years interacting between heaven and earth at will.. the so called punishment is not to take effect until thousands of years later.. in the meantime .. the wager ( ?

  ) between jehovah and satan over jobs loyalty in question ,and obviously satan still having communication with god in the heavens.

  Also,when Adam and Eve disobeyed God,He immediately punished them.When Jesus paid the ransom He did not act immediately.He has not to this day released mankind from Adam and Eve's sin. Why not? Because,none of this story is true.If it was, we should be free, paradise should have been restored as soon as Jesus paid the ransom.However,let me repeat. The story does not make sense.The evidence for this account just is not there. Blueblades

  Even if it's not the truth, it's still the best way to live

  how many times did you hear that gem?

  it often went along with "the truth is a protection" which is their way of saying "living a moral life is good for you ... and you can't do that without us".. but think about what people are really saying.

  i think the real message is "i know it's not the truth, but i chose to follow it anyway".. it seems like a pre-emptive argument because they know they can't defend it as "the truth" so instead they switch to defending it as a lifestyle.. of course any kind of lifestyle that has a decent moral ingredient to it, respect for law and order, discipline etc... probably increases people's chances of doing better in life, but they don't have a monopoly on it.. so just remember, next time you hear someone saying "even if it's not the truth" what they are really admitting is that they already know it isn't..

  Simon,It is "The Carrot" that gets us all. "."You can live forever on a paradise earth." Remember that one? Even if it is not the truth,they hope beyond hope that this life is not all there is. It took my family 33 years 1969 to 2002 to finally realize that there is no "Carrot." You were a great help with your site back in 2002. Blueblades Thanks for all you have done for the many of us.

  (for the record, i’m agnostic who is earnestly seeking an objective, honest and concrete hope for something greater).

  many of us have heard similar sentences from believers regarding proof of creator, proof that their religion is the correct one, proof that their particular sect is the right one, proof that their individual sects interpretation of a certain religious text is the right one, proof that their own personal interpretation of a certain religious text is the right one; the list goes on.. in one of my previous posts, i shared the following thought of mine:.

  Look! We need to face up to the facts. Life is short. Everything dies.There is no proof that we will live again after we die.This what it is all about. Trying to live forever with the approval of a god of sorts, higher power etc.Hence this never ending search for proof of the existence of a god that will grant us everlasting life because we worship it, him,her,and are a good person while living in this fleshly body that we know will eventually perish in its short life span.So,we cling to a hope that we honestly can't know.Now I have no need to take away peoples desire for a belief system that gives them comfort. Good for them if it helps them deal with what comes next after death.Yet I don't know anything.Even what i just wrote here i am willing to admit there are unknowables out there. 30 years a watchtower slave.   Well,my family will never fall for that ''CARROT'' from anyone else. 33 years a Watchtower Slave. Never again will we fall for the carrot in any shape or form from anywhere. There is no free lunch. I sat and ate with the Governing Body members and thought I had a seat with them. what a powerful "CARROT". Even Bugs Bunny would turn down that rotten carrot.

  where did the energy that caused the big band come from?

  1969 Knock on the door I open the door. 1970 I'm Baptized, 1971 my wife is Baptized, 1972 my son is born on the fourth of July, no Birthday for you. 1973 my second son is born. 33 years a slave,2002 finally closed the door. I am now 71 years old, my wife is 76, my sons are 44 and 43. You will never grow old.
